Today we had our ultrasound, I was very nervous going into it and was afraid they were going to say "It's a GIRL" again. I've had this hunch since I found out I was pregnant that it was gonna be a boy, but was very afraid to admit it to myself out loud cause I didn't want to be disappointed again. But this time we decided to give it 1 more shot at "trying" for a boy. So I bought an ovulation kit to help me out since last time I counted wrong and we had a girl. =) Anyhow, I was feeling confident but still nervous. I had this gut feeling it was in fact a boy, but kept it to myself.
So today was a very nerve racking day for me, but I decided to go into with the idea that it was gonna be a girl again and had made my peace with it so to speak. So when the ultrasound tech asked if we wanted to find out the sex Miles and I said yes. So she rolled the wand across my belly and got a very clear shot of boy parts. She said it looks like a boy to me. Miles and I were both very surprised when she said this, and very excited at the time. I almost cried I was so happy, I could hardly believe what I had seen on the monitor or the words that came out of the techs mouth. But there was no doubt that it was a little boy. I texted Jenee who was with my mom and girls and she said she gasped when she saw it and showed it to my mom who after a few moments gasped as well, then she showed it to Savannah who was quite curious at that point. Savannah took a few moments to read it and when it sunk in they said she let out a loud scream of YEAH!! I'm gonna have a brother!!
Savannah has said that she wanted a brother this time, she didn't want anymore sisters since she already had 2. I kept telling her "we don't get to choose", but this time we sort of did. We are all excited and can't wait to meet this little boy who will grow up with 3 big sisters. Choosing a name will be a challenge since the girls will want to have some sort of say in it as well. I still can hardly believe it myself!!
What excitement :) and now the fun of getting BOY things! :) so happy for you!
